WLOS in Asheville covered our llama caddies on their nightly local sports news segment.  BlueRidgeNow, the on-line Hendersonville Times newspaper ran an article.

WSPA in Spartanburg also ran a video piece (no longer available on line).

Since then, other national coverage of this includes:

WPRI, a television station in Providence, Rhode Island recently featured the llama caddies.  Below is a YouTube video from that broadcast.

National Public Radio's weekend game show Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me used this news item in their August 1, 2009 Listener Limerick Challenge (begins at 3:07 into the playback).

Even the BBC has picked up the story.  BBC interviewed Brian Lautenschlager, the golf professional managing the golf course.  Here is that story from BBC complete with video.

Llamas are now available by request only. If someone makes an appointment for them, that day becomes the day for other appointments to be made.  The llamas go to 5 other golf courses so their appearance and work has to come by appointment only.  For information, contact the Pro Shop at 828/884-7825.
